Account book, 1856 Feb. 1 - 1862 Jan. 1, of the firm. The first part of the volume contains detailed entries that the individual members had with the firm, including John W.A. Sanford and Joseph B. Bibb. There are also the accounts of individual clients. The latter part of the volume (pp. 85-212) contains a register of 208 cases, 1860 Dec. 22 - 1863 Nov. 9, which details the litigants, settlement reached, and comments, on each case. Most cases were tried in Montgomery Co., Ala., probate court, presided over by J.B. Gaston, and in the Montgomery Co. circuit court.
